NEWS & NOTES
In my previous article about Jean Thomas, I mentioned that her materials had gone to the University of Louisville. Some of her materials are there, but others remain at The Highlands Museum & Discovery Center, including books, recordings, pictures, and memorabilia. For more information, call the Executive Director, Nancy Smith, at 329-8888.
We have a number of college textbooks at bargain prices. These books would also be helpful to high school students who are being home schooled.
We still have many pieces of used furniture for sale. The public can visit from 9 - 5 pm or call (606) 326-1667.
Attention Regional Readers: We will not have a formal meeting in September; I hope you’ll attend the Jesse Stuart Weekend instead. We’ll meet again in October and discuss "The Believers" by Janice Holt Giles.
