SIGNED ECKERT BOOKS AVAILABLE AT STUART FOUNDATION
Allan W. Eckert continues to be our most popular author. He was here for a booksigning in July, but he lives in California now and won’t be able to return for a holiday booksigning.
Knowing he wouldn’t be able to plan a return visit in 2005, Allan graciously signed and inscribed some books which we put back for holiday sales.
So if you’re looking for a unique gift for the reader on your Christmas list, drop by the Jesse Stuart Foundation. In addition to signed Eckert books, we have signed books by Jesse Stuart, Billy C. Clark, Thomas D. Clark, and many other well known Kentucky and Appalachian authors. These books are available in the Jesse Stuart Foundation Bookstore at 1645 Winchester Avenue in downtown Ashland.
JESSE, THE BOOK CAT
We have added another staff member, and she is a real CATtraction. Jesse is an orange cat who has taken up permanent residence in our building and in the hearts of staff, tenants, and JSF friends. Jesse has been declawed and she’s had all her shots in preparation for her work here.
All JSF employees handle a wide variety of assignments, and Jesse is no exception. During the day, she works in public relations and she also helps Becky, Brett, and Steve. During the evenings, she assists me with writing projects. She also is deputized to assist Caleb Potter with the safety and security of our building.
Jesse knows our inventory and has some purrfect suggestions for holiday gifts. Stop by to see Jesse and get a dollar off any JSF book in our CATalog.

We have been headquartered here since 1985, and we’re proud to promote Ashland as the home of the Jesse Stuart Foundation. I am grateful to all the people and institutions who have helped us grow into a significant publishing house, but I want to express special appreciation to the people of the Ashland area. HOLIDAY HOURS
We’ll be open Monday - Friday from 8:30 - 4:30 and Saturdays from 10 - 2. Stop by to see us. You don’t have to put money in the parking meters on Saturday and there is always street parking available during the week.
