Sergent Sandlin Book Review

A review of James M. Gifford’s Sergeant Sandlin; Kentucky’s Forgotten Hero appears in the Fall 2019/Winter 2020 edition of Appalachian Journal, a quarterly publication of the Center for Appalachian Studies at Appalachian State University.  The extensive review, by the writer Elaine Fowler Palencia, mentions a related article by Dr. Gifford about Willie Sandlin that appeared in Kentucky Humanities magazine that Sen. Mitch McConnell entered into the Congressional Record (vol. 164, no. 186).
